Craftsman Lakehouse

A full property Beckwith build on Lake Winnipesaukee. Main house, boathouse, and grounds designed and constructed entirely in house. The craftsman language runs through everything: exposed timber, covered porches, warm wood ceilings over the water. On a lake full of large homes, this one holds together in a way that is easy to feel and harder to explain. Most lake house shoots don't get to the boathouse. Beckwith built this one to the same standard as the main house, same timber detailing, same material palette, same attention to how the structure meets the water.

The craftsman vocabulary has been on Winnipesaukee for over a century. Board and batten, exposed timber, covered porches. What Beckwith does is build it without shortcuts. The detailing holds up at close range because it was designed to be seen that way, not applied after the fact.

The checkerboard entry floor and the teal kitchen pendant are where the house shows some personality. Small moves, but they keep the interiors from going flat.
