James Reed is a New Hampshire-based photographer specializing in architectural and design photography.
As military kid, James grew up in Garmisch, Germany for 16 years. After graduating high school in Germany, James attended the University of Maine where he studied Exercise Science and ran Track & Field. James joined the US Bobsled team in 2014 where he was a member of the National Team for 8 years winning 5 World Cup medals and a Bronze Crystal Globe. He was the alternate for the 2018 Olympics in Korea and was a member of the 2022 Olympic team in China where his team finished 13th in the 4man event.
James started his photography journey capturing and highlighting fellow athletes and the sport of Bobsled. Some of this work has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, and PEOPLE Magazine. James is now focusing on interior and architectural photography working for builders, designers, and architects in the New Hampshire and New England area.
James has a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the importance of natural light, composition, and post-processing techniques in creating stunning images. He works closely with architects, designers, real estate agents, and property owners to bring out the best in each space and capture its unique character through his images.
